Walmarts, Your Opinion Informative - Walmarts, Your Opinion
This will be my first review on any given subject. I've tossed in my opinion from time to time and thought I'd voice my thoughts on a particular company, although a number of them might apply. Walmarts is the most visible among all of us, so let's go with them. Sharpen up those quills on the arrows and get the bows ready. I hope I'm ready.
I've snooped around and read any number of complaints with Walmarts, from Customer Service right on up and down the ladder. I have never had any problem with cashiers, store employees or anyone else associated with the company. Granted, I shop there seldom, so my opinion might not correspond with you regular shoppers.
I bear Walmarts nor their sister company Sams any ill will. Fact of the matter, I envy their Business Plan. They figured it out long ago and many others are still trying to settle the dust and determine where to go from here.
In the event some of you don't recognize the term "loss leader", that is simply sell a well known product below cost and the consumer will assume all products in the building are cheaper and fill his cart with everything else on the list. Walmarts didn't get where they are today by being stupid. Price an item, an oddity seldom purchased, and you will discover exactly what I'm speaking of. If you don't know the regular price, then how are you to know what the price is in other stores?
I don't know about your area, but in mine the weekly grocery store inserts in the local newspaper are a big deal. I can't begin to tell you the people who look at them with a keen eye on a bargain. I notice Walmarts has never had an ad of any kind. Does that tell you something?
Is Walmarts putting the local, home owned, stores out of business? Yep...we perceive them to be cheaper and shop there for our every need. Will Walmarts continue to offer wonderful prices when they are the only game in town? You tell me.
