VPI Complaint - Ambiguous Policy - Pet Insurance

Review by Peer200x on 2006-07-22
VPI policy is written in such a way that can hinder or allow question to almost each and every claim.

I paid for their top Ins. and thus far have had 95% of all my claims denied.

Make sure you understand what a "condition is" and more importantly understand their definition of "condition."

It is very apparent that there is no oversight on Pet insurance. Whereas insurance policy's for people are very black and white; hence federal and state oversight.

Example: a child that is diagnosed with Asthma has a condition. A child that is weezing would not fall under the criteria of a "condition" in a persons insurance policy (so technically no pre-existing condition).

However, if this were in reference to a pet, the above "weezing" would fall under their policy as a "condition"(so technically yes to pre-existing condition)." So even though weezing is not a diagonsis it would be catagorized as one via VPI.

Big waste of time and money!
