Ashley Furniture Complaint - Terrible Customer Service
WISCONSIN -- I bought $3000 worth of furniture from Ashley Furniture in February, and I just received the last of it a week and a half ago (July 14 to be exact.) Our sales lady was very kind and helpful, but the delivery and customer service people we not!!! For starters, they gave me a window between 11:30-3:30pm to deliver my furniture on the first try, and they didn't show up until 7:45pm. I had to call the store four times to find out what was going on, and NO ONE helped me. The second time they tried to deliver, they gave me a window time between 2-6pm, they showed up within that time, but didn't have my complete order and it was wrong. The third time, they gave me a window time between 12-4pm and there was a no show. I waited around all day and took off of work 3 times to wait around. When I finally got ahold of someone, they couldn't give me a straight answer, until the delivery guys called me at 8:30pm and told me that the furniture was on the wrong truck and was an 1 1/2 away. So, I resceduled another delivery for the following day. When they called in the morning to confirm it, everything was fine, until about an hour before they were suppose to deliver. Appartently, they damaged my couch and they needed to reorder a new one. I was a little upset but I could deal with it. Until, I got a phone call 15 minutes later saying that the mattress that we ordered didn't come in, but they could deliver the box spring. What was I going to do with a box spring?!? I was very upset because this was all suppose to be delivered the day before and NO ONE told me about this. I finally got the furniture delivered but they keep calling me to scedule a delivery for furniture that I already have. Also, DON'T listen to them about the financing and not having to pay until you receive your furniture because this isn't true. I recieved a phone call from Citi Financial (who Ashley deals with for financing) and they told me that my account was 30 days delinqent. I NEVER recieved a bill or anything and I asked the Ashley people about 5 times when I should start to pay it, and they said as soon as ALL of your furniture is delivered, you will start to recieve bills and you have 1 month to pay the first installment. DON'T LISTEN TO THEM!!!! The Citi Financial people were very helpful in clearing up late charges for over $100 and not messing up my credit. They said that they hear this kind of stuff about Ashley Furniture EVERYDAY. If I were to buy furniture, DON'T GO TO ASHLEY FURNITURE!!! They have terrible customer service and nobody cares about the customers, they just want their money. Go somewhere else!!!
