Washington Mutual Complaint - Online banking bugs in system
I have just went through a nightmare with Washington Mutual. Their online banking system is flawed. I tried to pay bills and received this statement; Schedualed payment failed, funds not available. Now, here I was thinking that these 2 payments were not going to be made....I was wrong. I logged back in to check my account balance the next day. The balance I saw was identical to the balance showing on the previous day. Of course, I thought the funds I had deposiyed hadn't cleared and I thought the 2 payments I had tried to make the previous day hadn't gone through either. Now thinking that bills that needed to get paid didn't get paid I went ahead and scheduled the bills to get paid. I set the pay schedule for the next day, seeing as I was under the impression the funds from my deposite hadn't cleared yet. I was wrong on both counts....Apparently the 2 payments I attempted to make on the 10th cleared through??? I had no idea that those payments went out, how could I? My balance on the 11th was showing no such transaction. I am currently out $400.00+ with no chance of getting it back, as Washington Mutual is claiming this was my fault. Washington Mutual removed funds from my account without my knowledge and I am paying for their mistake. Needless to say, I will no longer be banking with Washing Mutual. Washington Mutual's web banking site is buggy and I do not trust it.
