Frigidaire Complaint - POOR QUALITY - Professional Gallery Series range
TORONTO,CANADA, DELAWARE -- August 2003 I've purchased all of my five appliances from Sears.
Last year the front glass of my range shattered in little pieces for no reason ( noone smashed it) - took over a month to repair due to unavailability of parts - Is it a common problem with ranges . I've never had this before nor do i know of anyone having this issue. $276 LATER.
This week my front burner would not shot off and was burning on hight, so that i had to disconnect the entire range and could not use it till it gets repaird. It so happens that the electric panel got "shot" and it is $200. Is it "wear" and "tear" - i don't think so. Plus i need to spend another $200 on repairs.
I beleive that if you spend $1700 on an applience it should last at least 5 years without major problems. It seems to me that it is mandatory to get an extended warranty or you are screwd. Wasn't it an option before?
Don't comapnies care about their reputation?
Guess what? NO. They pass it on to the DISTRIBUTION. The only way to protect yourself is to get EXTENDED WARRANTY.
I will get new appliences next year for my new house - will it be FRIGIDAIRE?????
