DirecTV Inc Complaint - I have had it with Directv and their lack of service
MICHIGAN -- No signal my butt until the tech arrived and treated me like a little woman who didn't know what she was talking about....here’s the gist of the situation....
Monday morning on July 17, 2006...To start with the tech was an two and a half hours late...did not come to my door to inform me that he was there....no instead he got out of his shiny new white van and lumbered over to my dish. He never asked me what was wrong with the dish...all he did was go by what was told to him by the Direct TV tech....Let me say this the man was very rude! Treated me like I was incompetent fool which I am not...It was nearly two weeks of waiting for someone to come out and see about the dish and I had both signals local/sat maybe not extremely strong, but at least they were both clear! The jerk wouldn't listen to a word I said! He wouldn't answer my questions just dismissed them as if I were dumb. Now I know that the foliage is not the main problem because were that true I wouldn't have been able to get both local and Sat channels before...He went about tweaking my dish back to whatever he thought was needed then proceeded to tell me that I would have a weak signal and no local channels! Then he hightailed it out of there after making sure that I signed his work order and then if I hadn't requested it wouldn't have given me my copy of the form!!! Then five minutes later I had no signal...no nothing!! I then went out and tweaked it again so that I had Sat I would have tweaked back to the other, but a tornado warning...thunder storm warning and power outage due to the storm prevented me from doing so...Had I had local channels I could have filled my tubs, got the flashlights out, gotten the gallons of drinking water, ect....ready and known about the storm!!! You can watch TV during a thunderstorm but my net not so much....so local news would have been nice!!!!
I have had it with Direct TV! I have been screwed over enough...first Pax/WB is no longer carried in our area...then after I complained my signal all of a sudden started to get messed up...(Four months of crappy signal let me tell you winter or spring no foliage!!!)I was told by the first tech on the phone to tweak it myself because it was simple...yeah right 200 yards from my door a four person shouting match to get it set...not fun...Then I call again and am told! "What you weren't suppose to do that!!!" That they would send a tech out by July 17 and that was July 3rd!!! I will tweak it back to having both channels...(Not the tried that and the jerk screwed my dish I can only get one or the other to work!
Seeing as it's hard to read his scribble of a signature...hmm on purpose I think so and I can't make out anything that he wrote on the form...The tech who poor baby ,overweight and hot cause it was hot that day didn't look like he wanted to be there in the first place and was quick as a rabbit off to lunch!!!
Its people like that tech that think that women don't know what their talking about if I had been a man then he would have treated me with respect and listened to what I had to say!!!
