Post Informative - Tastes like a petroleum byproduct

Review by Shakra on 2006-07-30
First off, let me just say that the only reason I am writing this review here is because I tried to contact Post cereal and wrote a review of this product. I gave it a one star and had to join the website in order to complete the review. After signing up, it said that my review would not be published until after I clicked on the confirmation notice sent to my email address. You guessed email from them. I then sent them a notice stating that I had not received the confirmation notice. It said that my email would be read shortly. Guess what? No notice.

I bought Banana Nut Bread cereal from Post last night. I sat down to eat a bowl of it. It was the nastiest cereal I have ever eaten. It truly tasted like a petroleum byproduct.

Just to be sure it wasn't just my tastebuds, I had my husband take a bite. He had his "omg, this is horrible" look. When I told him that I thought it tasted like petroleum, he said he was getting ready to say the same thing.

I threw away the whole box. I'd love to get my money back, but that isn't going to happen because the company doesn't want to hear about its products that aren't up to snuff.

I love Banana Nut Crunch. Unless you got a contaminated box somehow, I can't see how it takes like petroleum. Different strokes I guess.
