FIRST RELIANCE BANK Complaint - Bank Bully - Customer Service

FLORENCE, SOUTH CAROLINA -- I would like to encourage anyone thinking of opening an account with First Reliance to think twice before doing so. This Bank has the worst customer service in the Pee Dee area. When I formally complained about an issue, they promptly closed my account without warning. Mortgage, tuition and utility checks bounced as a result.
I had to scramble to get my financial affairs in order. Instead of giving me ample time to change banks, they discarded me like the morning trash.
No one from management tried to resolve my issue. Take heed when dealing with this rogue institution.

All the bank had to do was tell me they wanted me to close my account. I would have found another bank and re-directed my direct deposits and cancelled all outstanding checks. This has caused much stress.
