Canon Complaint - Terrible Driver Software / Very Poor Print Quality
NEW YORK -- I purchased a Canon MultiPASS C755 All-in-One Printer/Scanner/Copier/Fax machine this past summer. It was one of the worst purchases in my lifetime. The machine is horrible. The print quality is well below current standards. There are streaks all over the printouts, and the color is always very dark and dingy looking. Even worse, the printer driver software is the worst I've ever encountered in over 12 years of experience with computers. It is MISERABLE. When try to print from a windows application, it will very often just open the printer folder, but the data never makes it to the printer! It then acts as if you never tried to print at all. I have tried to fix this problem, and their support is terrible. Their driver software has never been updated, with the exception of a version for XP. I am very well-versed with computers and computer hardware and software. I would STRONGLY DISCOURAGE anyone from purchasing this product, or any other printer/all-in-one from this company. I have had very good luck with Compaq, HP, Epson, and NEC. The Canon may look like a great deal, but I assure you it is NOT.
