Harvey Norman Complaint - Saturating Advertising

Review by NickNook on 2006-08-13
CANBERRA -- I must complain about the saturation advertising of Harvey Norman-Domaine.There are so many adverts on TV that I now have the remote at hand to press the mute button so as not to hear them.
Last night August 12 it became so bad my wife turned off the programme she was watching. These
constant adverts are on all channels. Also I have to turn the car radio off as each time I turn it on there is a Harvey Norman advert. As well as this there are catalogues from them in the junk mail plus constant adverts in the local paper at times the whole back page.Do we have to be brainwashed by this company. It is about time there was some form of regulation of the number of times a company can advertise during one programme on TV. I might add thatI will not shop
at any Harvey Norman store. They say that they will not be beaten on price. This is nonsense as I found items cheaper else where.
I would like to know if anyone else has found this advertising annoying.

Who IS Harvey Norman?
I'm in Colorado. We see no commercials here under that name.

Hello CjC in Colarado. Harvey Norman is an Australian store. If you look at the heading it says Canberra, which is
the capital. My complaint is meant for comment from Australians.

We were overseas and the time difference was 8 hours, so we recorded everything (US & UK stations). Then we fast forwarded through the commercials. Now we are in the States again we do the same thing, record almost everything - only 'breaking news' is what you want to watch immediately and we don't have to sit through the inane commercials. If by chance we are watching a program 'live', commericals become potty breaks, refrigerator raids, etc.
