Bd's Mongolian Barbeque Compliment - Great service and food.

Review by Sparticus on 2006-08-24
VERNON HILLS, ILLINOIS -- Just thought I would share a recent experience I had at Bd's Mongolian BBQ. This is one of those places where you make your own stir fry by piling up the ingredients into a bowl and then watch them cook it up for you. We were having a party that night and had reserved a room in the back. Service was excellent! The waiter was always around but never bothersome. Drinks were refilled on time, and the overall atmosphere was fun.

To top it off, at the end of the night the bill came and it was lower than what we had expected. He said he noticed most folks did not go up for seconds at the stir fry bar and so he took it upon himself to only charge 1/2 the group at the all-you-can-eat price. Saved us a fortune! Then they brought out coffee for everyone on the house. Great food, great service...

How much did you tip him?

Blame it on the "instant gratification" wants of the "Nintendo generation." (tr)

We tipped him well. He was probably bumping the bill down for that reason alone, but hey, works for us! They are opening more locations per their website. They appear to be mostly in the Midwest and Florida areas.

Well I feel the need for the group to research this claim further. Sparticus, when is "test night" at Bd's? Of course we will expect you to pick up the tab, it is for research after all. ;)

Ha. Very funny amaniR. I would gladly host a dinner for all of us if tab were divided...;-) I think it would be an interesting night of conversation considering we are all probably from very different areas/backgrounds.

Sounds like a wonderful dining experience. The last review about a place like that was outright scary. I have family in Illinois, so keep these reviews coming and pirate, it is none of your "biz" what Sparticus tipped.

Zork, so you have family in the Illinois State Penitentiary? How often do you visit them?

*leaving my office in laughter* No relatives in "the system" that I know of.
