DHL Informative - Appaulling Service - Nokia 6111 mobile phoene
WORTHING -- I ordered a Nokia 6111 from O2 and it was picked up by DHL on the Friday to be delivered next day. I decided to call the DHL offices to ensure the address was correct as I already knew O2 had trouble getting it changed. It was still incorrect and DHL refused to speak to me claiing the contract was still between themselves and O2 and I was not included.
I decided I would wait and I knew I would be at home Tuesday morning. It never arrived. I called DHL again to ask where my parcel was, to be told they had put it on the incorrect transport and my phone was now in Milton Keynes (an MK postcode instead of the correct BN postcode).
As DHL admitted the mistake was completely thier fault, I asked for the phone to be sent back to the Brighton Depot so I could pick it up later that evening. I was told that I would just have to wait for another 1 to 2 days. They were made aware of the importance of the mobile but told me to have it sent back was a "special delivery" and it would cost them too much.
They messed up but would not pay for their error. Iwas spoken to rudely and no help was offered. I was stuck without a mobile phone and they basically told me "tough!".
Would you consider that to be customer service? Inow refuse to use DHL as a company as also a few months ago they managed to LOSE an HGV gearbox and it was never found.
