Red Baron Bi Plane Flight Service Informative - Potential Scam - Gift Certificate for Flight

Review by glpionke on 2006-08-29
SCHAUMBURG, ILLINOIS -- I was given a Gift Certificate for a 20 minute Bi Plane ride for my Birthday in May. I have call called Red Baron 6 times since May and emailed them on several occasions. They have not returned any of my phone calls or responded to my email. It does not appear that they are honoring Gift Certificates that were purchased. This was $185.00 and I feel this place should be investigated.

Here is the link to their website http://www.redbaronrides.com/

Thank you

Visit their office and see what is going on. Perhaps they went out of business? Their website's contact us page is mysteriously missing.

You might also file a complaint with the Attorney General's office in your state. They tend to take an active interest in gift certificate scams.

Strange....their web site is registered out of Buffalo, NY and the aircraft in their picture section is licensed out of Dover, DE. They have a link on their web site to "Pilot Pete's" restraurant at the Schaumburg airport - go out there for lunch and see what you can learn.

I've actually flown on one of these bipes, years ago in Louisvlle. Pretty amazing and thrilling. Hope you get your chance.

well, the website comes up as "un-known." So maybe they are out of business.
