Madison Alabama Police Dept Complaint - High strung police - Police want to shoot grandfather in front of grand
MADISON, ALABAMA -- Lived here 20 years, raising two grandchildren in my home. Wife is an alcoholic and the kids mom, well I'm still raising her too. I've called 911 over the years due to my wife's drinking and the disruption it causes. Cops show up, first thing they look for is marks on the female, well not here in my house. I get knocked around a little by the wife, nothing brutal but still is a pain in the butt. Yesterday was a different story. I come home from work, grandson is in his room with a neighbor friend playing x-box and the old lady is wasted. A few words back and forth and SHE's going to call 911, go ahead I said. No, she takes the neighbor's child outside and tells him to tell his father to call. They arrive and the first thing out of their loud mouth is, "Mr. Al..... show yourself or we'll shoot you", my grandson is hysterical, the cops are looking at me like I just killed the Pope and every question they asked me was just a prompt for another officer t tell me to shuy up, one even said after another asked me a question, "SHUT UP OR I'LL SHOOT YOU", Right, shoot a 56 year old grandfather, 5'6" 150 lbs Engineer is a real threat these days. Let's line up the grandparents and shoot them all right in front of their grandchildren, MAN I'M PISSED!
OH, THE REST OF THE STORY
I got a lump on my forehead from my wife, she hit me with a flashlight, I guess I wasn't seeing things her way. She is banged up, knees, wrist, and no not from me. I've only been home from work maybe 10 minutes. It does look bad but no all I did was hold her wrists above her head but she got loose screaming bloody murder. The cops see my bump on the head, they see my wife's daily collection of falling down in the tub, the stairs, (my six year old grandson said, "Poppy, you know what, MiMi fell down the stairs, she tripped on my toys, I'm sorry." Anyway the cops charge both of us with Third Degree Assualt and we spend the night in the Morgan County Jail, cost me $350.00 to get us out. Tommorrow is my grandson's birth day, I was going to get him a tent and sleeping bag with that money, and Hell Yes, he's still going to get that tent and sleeping bag.
