Macys East Complaint - Lancome
KENNESAW, GEORGIA -- I had a make-over at the Lancome Counter inside Macy's on January 4, 2002, at the Towne Center Mall, located in Kennesaw, Georgia. I had been looking forward to it for a week and had gotten a reminder call, etc. The make-up artist was very polite and curtious as were the sales girls. Until it was time to buy something. I was told by the sales woman that as a condition of the make-over I was now obligated to buy at least two items of make-up and/or skin care products.
I was NEVER told this when I signed up for the make-over, it was not on the information flyer at the counter nor was it mentioned during the phone call.
Needless to say, I was very upset and felt strong armed into purchasing items that I didn't even want. And the great time that had was now ruined. I will never buy another thing from Lancome and will advise all my friends not to as well.
To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
I want a written apology. And I would like for this to never happen to another unsuspecting customer.
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
