Malev Airlines Complaint - Bad service - Airline Travel London to Bangkok

Review by yerbie on 2006-09-01
I have booked to travel with this airline in December. Now they have cancelled my flight and instead of putting me on the next available flight they want me to travel many hours later which only leaves a small amount of time to get my connection. When I ask customer services why I can't be put ont the next avalaible flight I have been told several diferent stories, none of which are true. NEVER TRAVEL WITH MALEV. They also have very poor customer services.

Booking a flight well in advance is not a guarantee the flight will take off as scheduled. How do you know that they are lying to you about the reason for not giving you the next flight?

I don't think they gave you different "stories"... I think they gave you several "reasons". Did you check out these "stories" to verify they were not true...I think not...funny how it is always customer service's fault when the customer doesn't get everything their way.

I agree...there are many reasons of why they did what they did.

They first told me that the flight I wanted to get on was a BA flight but when I checked Malev website it states that if the flight is run by a different airline it would have a different series of letters for the flight number. Secondly I was told the flight would be discontinued after November but I have called under a different name and reserved a seat on the flight which, incidentally, has the same flight number as my cancelled flight. My friend also e.mailed their resewrvations de[artment enquiring about flights and they said that the flight that I want to get on is running on teh 17th December.

"I have called under a different name and reserved a seat on the flight"...so, what are you going to do when it comes time for that flight? You reserved it under a different name...duh! And you say they are telling stories? You're just begging for trouble...

I did so to test their theory that the flight was being taken out of service - duh! My point is that if I am booked on a flight with the number MA611 which is supposed to take off at 12.45 then I am told it has been cancelled, why is there a flight MA611 taking off at 13.50. Surely that's my flight but the time has been changed slightly.

DUH!!! My point is...it doesn't matter, you used a fake name so, you're not getting that flight anyway...unless you also have a fake ID???? Yeah...get through the airport on this one!
