National Car Rental Complaint - It was impossible to understand her.
VENTNOR CITY, NEW JERSEY -- I have used your cars for many years and have always been satisfied until today. A female answered the phone and I asked if the National shuttle would pickup my wife and I at Port Everglades at Fort Lauderdale as we will be coming back from a cruise. This type of question only needed a yes or no. However, all I kept getting was please and saying words that I could not understand possibly due to a strong accent. I also could not understand her when she was attempting to describe the make and model of a car. I finally asked for a supervisor and after a moment or two she said non was available. I kept asking her to repeat what she was saying but in no way could I understand her. If National is hiring CSR foreigners, then they should SPEAK VERY CLEAR English. I told her thta I was so upset that I was going to wtite a letter to the company, but I do not think she understood what I was saying. I as a customer do not want to get upset when I am spending my money. In short I got so disgusted that I hung up. I just may call the National desk at the Fort Lauderdale, FL. airport directly or go to another auto rental company. What a terrible experience, you should be ashamed of the manner in which you reservations system is conducted. I have never written a complaint letter before, but this really got to me. I really don't know if I should continue to do business with your company
