USAA AUTO INSURANCE Complaint - USAA re ARBITRATION PROCEDURE
ST PETERSBURG, FLORIDA -- What a terrible system set up by Insurance Companies. My daughter drove my car and was hit by another driver. We had a police investigation and subsequent report, and 2 witness statements, all of which were 100 percent supportive of the other driver's guilt. The police found my daughter 100 percent blameless and issued a summons to the other driver. His insurance company, Allstate, refused to pay. It went to arbitration, a process that I am not allowed to be involved in whatsoever. Five months later a decision is made and we lost the case. No one will tell me why, or how this could be when all of the evidence is in our favor. Did USAA drop the ball? Did the arbitrators want to leave early on a Friday and so flipped a coin? I am out $500 deductable plus $5000 loss of value, plus impending rate increases because of $8,000 in damage. My car is still not 100 percent fixed. It is totally financed and now I owe way more than it is worth, so I can't even get rid of it. I feel like I was put on trial, but had no say or participation. I can get NO answers. Can anyone offer suggestions? Should I go to small claims court against the other driver? I am so frustrated.
