Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. Complaint - Non Installation of Plasma TV
DELHI -- I brought a Samsung Plasma 42” TV on 2nd Sept 2006 from a Trade Fair held at Ashoka Hotel, Delhi, India, from the Samsung stall.
Since then I have been going round in circles trying to get it installed, and get the promised travel gift voucher.
The dealer said since he had forgotten to deliver the wall mounting bracket, the service engineer would bring it in. The service engineer who came on 4th sept said he can’t do anything till he gets the bracket. So I drove 25 km to pick the wall mounting from dealer. On 7th the engineer came again. When he opened the box he found some parts were missing, so we made a complaint to the call center. Here we ran into major problems. The dealer now claims it’s the company’s fault since this faulty box was delivered by company. The service engineer says he cannot do anything till I give him all the relevant parts for installation. So on 7th and then again on 8th Sept I made a complaint at the call center, which they simply forwarded to the service engineer, who says the same thing as he said earlier. During this week I made calls to Samsung sales office too, which were most unhelpful.
Now I am stuck with an expensive piece of equipment which cannot be installed since parts are missing. Neither the dealer nor service center are willing to take responsibility. I’m left with only one option – file a official complaint against company & dealer for cheating & misrepresentation.
