BUNN Informative - Bunn B10 Home Coffee Maker Design Flaw

Review by China Syndrom on 2006-09-10
PALATINE, ILLINOIS -- Purchased a BUNN B10 Home Coffee Maker 2 years ago on sale for $100 dollars. I purchased this dispenser equating cost with quality and for the BUNN name. One morning filled the dispenser with water to make coffee and had it pour out the bottom. I took the unit apart to see if it was repairable only to find out that heat from the tube that feeds the boiler had disollved the plastic top and seal that stores the water. This results in the water draining past the electrics and out the bottom of the dispenser. This design appears to be used on other BUNN products. I would assume this has happened to others. For the amount spent on this device I would expect a longer life thus do not recomnmend it unless a design change has been made to correct the issue.

I here what you are saying. When you buy a BUNN it should work but it has been my experience that a coffee is a coffee pot no matter who makes it. I buy the cheep $30.00 ones and if they last 1 or 2 years, who cares?
