Cox Communications Inc Complaint - Monthly billing
I have a son in college and I signed him up for Cox Cable basic service on 7, 17, 06. I paid my bill on 8,16,06 for 47.52. my next bill i recieved on 9,16,06 was post over-due for 102.02
charging me 8.69 in late fees and saying my previous balance was 165.41. I called asking how I could owe so much and be charged a late fee when the bill due by date is 9, 24,06. I called several times hung up on several times and finly when I spoke to a rep I asked for his name and told him his name would be highlight in a letter to company if he hung up on me. I asked him why my bill was so high and how could i be late we the bill is due on the 24th? He was not sure and had to look it up. He told me that the company had a billing change and that the will was due on the 9-10-06. wihtout telling customers I said? yes. and we charge 1 MONTH IN ADVANCE. so no where on my bill did it say that this was for payment thru oct 24. I can not believe that it is standard practice to charge 1 month ahead then change the billing date and charge late fees, for something I have not even used yet!!!!!!
