alarm one Complaint - poor customer service/billing

PLAINFIELD, ILLINOIS -- In June 1998 we signed a 3 year contract with Alarm One. In Jun 2001, we cancelled this service. We sent a written notice as requested by Alarm One, but not in the 30 day time frame allowed by Alarm One. Alarm One is demanding we pay for a full year of service since our contract was renewable and since we disagreed with doing that, they have now sent it to collection and now they want the one years contract fees plus an additional several hundred dollars in attorney fees. Alarm One is not interested in good customer service; only the one years payment.

To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:

Alarm One needs to cease and desist on harrassing us through the collection agency. And to credit our account the amount required in order to leave us alone

At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
