Judge Baldwin's. Informative - Judge Baldwins Brewing Company. No Thanks

Review by 15910 on 2006-09-18
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO -- After a day of "labor intensive" work, my supervisor suggested going to the "Judge's" for a late lunch on the "company dime". He had his usual burger and was quite satisfied with it. I was tempted to have the "fish and chips but too many bad things can happen when you get fish and tartar sauce on the same plate so I had the "roast beef po-boy" sandwich with a horseradish mayo' on it and fries. I have had spicier hospital food! Basically the mayo' was on the lettuce and not on the meat so I had to add mustard, salt and pepper to the sandwich to be able to taste anything. Besides that the waitress forgot that I ordered fries so when I reminded her while she was refilling our drinks she replied, "oh yeah". Thanks for remembering on such a slow time of the day there! I guess that's why I tend to stick with smaller specialty restaurants with less of the trendy, over hyped BS that goes along with the larger ones. Never again Baldwin!

LOL, the Po-boy? I always thought that was a chicken stick with some dried up potato skins for a buck ninety nine.

Good to know, the next time I am in Colorado Springs, CO I wil not bother with Judge Baldwins Brewing Company. Thanks for the info... Po-boy.. good choice

About as good. I am "0 and 2" when it comes to Po-Boys! The potatoes still had the skin partially on which really doesn't "stack up" to my liking either.

Thanks for the tip. Never been to the Antler hotel, but I was just down in that area today, paying my utility bill.

Hey Lid, I am just fine. So when are you coming to visit Colorado Springs?? Google Garden of the Gods, and see how beautiful that place is. I live sort of across the street from it, like 2 minutes away!!!It really is place for the gods. You slurred my name... are you having cocktails without me!!

Skye no not yet on the cocktails, almost though... I’ve been to the Garden of the Gods and I will be back. Colorado was the first choice to retire to when leaving CA. but some how ended up in the mountains of NC they just don't compare to the Rockies... sorry about the name thing….

And the Colorado rocky mountain high...
I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky...
I know he'd be a poorer man if he never saw an eagle fly...
Rocky mountain high.

It's Colorado rocky mountain high...
I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky...
Friends around the campfire and everybody's high...

I have seen many eagles since I have been here. I love the wildlife, and when we walk at night, we have owls, and coyotees around here. I do however, miss my home, which was Long Island....Go Yankees!!!

Skye have you been to the Royal Gorge yet? The dears come up to you and you feed them, they will eat out of your hand.

Just went there over Labor Day. That was my 4th time. Also went to this really cool train museum in Golden that weekend. I have done all the tourist stuff so many times, since whenever we have relatives or friends visit, gotta take them to these places. One of my favorite things to do, is drive up to Pikes Peak, on the Pikes Peak Highway. So gorgeous. Glad you have been here. Do you like it here?? When ya coming back???

Thanks Slim, I can only hope that I can build up the courage to order the "fish and chips" when dining out some day. Those two informatives regarding that entree' still gives me nightmares!
