Travelocity Complaint - My first and last - Customer Service / Billing
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- I'm not one to write reviews but I had to get the word out on TRAVELOCITY. I tried them for the first time last month (Aug) to book a hotel room in Boston. I had initial problems with date change, was charged twice and Travelocity didn't put in enough effort to work with the hotel to try and get a credit. After repeated calls and a few days of going back and forth, they left me hanging with 2 unauthorized charges on my card for no-shows. I had to call the hotel myself. I was able to get the credit but, much to my dismay, had to wait for it because unformtunately it had to go through Travelocity again. The hotel manager was prompt about giving me the credit but it took Travelocity 30 days to release it. Suffice it to say, first impressions last. They claim to guarantee your satisfaction but clearly my experience with them as a new custoemr was highly disappointing from the very beginning. Very bad customer service, I think it's their policy to put customers on hold for no less than 10 minutes on every single phone call. Unacceptable billing practices. Save time and money ... try other online travel agencies.
