Acapulco Mexican Restaurant Complaint - Rudeness of Hostess

COON RAPIDS, MINNESOTA -- On the evening of 1/16/02 we entered the establishment at approx. 1830, we were told there would be a 20-25 minute wait for a table in smoking which was fine and we waited in the lobby area. After 30 minutes and the lobby was emptying we inquired about our place on the list to find that the name 'Carol' had been put on the list instead of 'Karl' and we had been passed over. We waited another 10 mins and the lobby was empty and inquired again and we were told by the Hostess 'It's not our fault, we can't tell people to leave.' At that time we decided to leave and go to another restaurant. It was 1915 when we got into our car to go somewhere else.

At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.

This is a hard call. I am sure they did not purposely put your name down wrong. And surely cannot be expected to confirm they wrote it down correctly every time. The best thing that could have happened here is that they were a bit more courteous regarding the mistake. Just a case of bad luck.

Agreed. They didn't write the wrong name down on purpose and it is indeed true that they cannot ask people to leave in order so that you may have a table. However, perhaps they could've been a bit nicer about it.
