Olympic Airlines Complaint - E-ticket Warning - Help following missed connection.

I don't want to mention the name of the tour company because I'm trying to arrange a settlement with them following their inept flight planning.

On return from a tour of Greece, the company scheduled our return flight from Athens to JFK in New York with barely enough time to make our connecting United flight to San Francisco had the flight from Athens been on time.

But Olympic's flight was over an hour late and under usual circumstances, Olympic was obligated to re-book us on another flight.

But Olympic refused to accept our United E-tickets nor would Olympic arrange a hotel for us because the flight we missed was the last Untited flight to SFO that day. The E-ticket was good ONLY for United flights--we had to arrange our own hotel and re-book an early flight for the next morning.

If the tour company had issued paper tickets for the United flight, Olympic would have re-booked us with a different airline leaving later the same day.

Our E-tickets left us stranded without any assistance at all from Olympic Airlines.

BEWARE OF E-TICKETS if there's any chance that you might have to make changes resulting from delays.

Let us know how you make out with the tour operator. As I see it you have a legitimate claim for damages and you should not need to get a lawyer to resolve the matter for you. This should be something you can get settled on your own.
