Burger King Informative - Drive Through Dis-Service
KINGSTON, PENNSYLVANIA -- You know how when you pull up to a fast food drive through order station such as at Burger King, the order taker seems to jump right out of the speaker at you with a hurried tone of voice to get your order? You know, fast fast fast-give them your order, give them your money, get your food and get going! Anyone ever find these people's demeanor to be annoying or frustrating? I have, so I asked different people at Burger King and McDonald's if they have a time frame that they have to get the customer's order and get them out of the drive through area. Guess what? Depending on who you talk to the time frame is somewhere between 4 and 6 minutes. They are monitored on their performance in this area and if they fail to do their jobs well...there is another fast food restaurant down the street without a drive through station who might hire the person who can not deliver in the time required. I understand the concept of fast food, however, all of us should speak up-(and I do)-to the managers at these places and tell them to at least give us time to decide what we want and let us order without feeling so rushed or hurried. Just a thought. Anyone have any thoughts to offer on the matter?
