Burger King Informative - Another "whopper" of a problem put to rest
FEDERAL WAY, WASHINGTON -- This concerns the Burger King store in Federal Way, Washington. I just spoke with the regional manager about the incident with the milk shake substitution problem and here are the details. The store manager is going to be re-educated about Burger King's commitment to their valued customer's total satisfaction. Also, Burger King uses a couple of different point of sale cashier register systems. Some allow you to back out of a sale and substitute and some do not. There is however a discount button on the keyboard where the cashier can give the appropriate discount. Another option is to have the sale rung up and then go inside the store for a refund of the difference. The policy of Burger King is that the customer should only pay for what they get and get what they pay for. One more thought, it is more difficult to handle these sort of transactions at a drive through window than inside the stores because of customers waiting in the drive through lane, you have training issues with new hires, and a lot of other issues that are related to the day to day operation of a busy fast food restaurant. A suggestion, if you wish to substitute with your order you might want to go inside to order, or place your order and if there is an issue with the refund, go inside, be pleasant and ask for the difference.
