DHL Complaint - Handicapped, now thanks to DHL Broke
TEMPE, ARIZONA -- I sent a package to a friend in NY overnight express Sat. Del. it was insured for $9000.00, and marked personal goods. It never showed up, my friend called the local office of DSL to find out more on the pacakge, they said it was left on the door step, and would be out to investigate it, THEY NEVER CALLED or showed up? I called DHL on Monday the 10th of September, and Spoke to a supervisor, and the said they would look into this, aslo the package was not marked as signature required, I told Mike I checked all the boxes avalible, and he indicated that their waybill preperation page had a clithch on it it you had to type manually that instruction, "but it was not spelled out on the page."
I PAID FOR INSURANCE AND SHIPPING AN THEY WERE HAPPY TO CHARGE MY ACCOUNT ACCORDINGLY!
Meanwhile, I got a NASTY letter saying that DHL would not pay for the insurance, because it was my item was expemt in thier terms and conditions. The only way they knew it what the contents were and it was something of value was I weas honest enough to tell them the cotents. They Refuse to do anything, but had the gall to send me a $20 off coupon on my next shippment. Note they have billed me the full amount and will not give me a refund for the shipping and insurance monies!
Damage Resulting = This will cause me a hadship of $9000 and I'm on SSDI and needed this money to fix up my home, now I can not pay for the home improvements. I was replacing old carpeting because I have Alpha1 a breathing disorder, and needed tile to improve my quality of life at home. The Presidents office or ANYONE AT DHL in Tempe AZ. will not respond to me.
How can these people get up, go to work and know they are doing this to people!
I am resonsible for my act's, and try to live an honest life,
What happened to JUST DOING THE RIGHT THING?
Anybody got any advice to help me? Deal with these people?
