Beachcombers Complaint - RIP-OFF

Review by kattie on 2006-10-06
Beachcombers Vacation Club and Castaways Vacations is own by **name removed**. I did some research a found alot!!! There is alot of information on him, and his companies. Look his name up **removed**, Vacation club. Also, check out www.ripoffreport.com and check out the www.thetimesharebeat.com and look under search, "Bailey" thru thetmesharebeat for the truth about him and these companies he owns. They travel state to state and most of the time doesn't even have a license to sell in that state. You can't get a full refund within your 3 day recission, they keep about 15% of the sales price. They don't care if you cancel within 2 hours, they made money. I did report them to the Better Business Bureau!!! There is an investigation! I will get my money BACK!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!

I'm confused. How is kattie going to get money back if he/she didn't buy anything? Isn't the BBB a consumer reporting agency?

Couldn't you have insisted that there would be no signing until you read whatever? It is your responsibility to use due diligence when you sign contracts - nobody signs them for you and its your money on the line. Its called foresight. It keeps you from having to use HINDsight or having buyer's remorse, or wasting everybodys' time trying to fix things you had control over the whole time. If whoever took the time to put a contract together for you... never mind. I just don't sympathize this time, but wish the best for you.

Just a note: How many endeavors does Disney have their hands in? Does it matter that much to you who owns what? Did you check out the BBB search on RipOffReport also? It might open some peoples' eyes to the BBB as there are several entries on it. Mentions the word "racketeering" in it. So just how accurate is the BBB's info? I would believe the posts on RipOffReport on the BBB before I would take too much stock in the BBB sites, but thats just one person's opinion.

My parents too were high pressured into buying, got caught up into the moment. Yes, my parents are naive!! They are honest people and they believe most everyone is the same. Too bad they trusted this company. The Attorney General is on the case now.

The Attorney General is building a case on Christy Spensberger and William Bailey. I hope not only will my parents get their money back, but help put a stop to this scam!!!
