Home Depot Complaint - Home Depot In Home Services(Roofing)
BELMONT, CALIFORNIA -- I ordered a sixteen thousand dollar roof from Home Depot, the best you can get. Oh the salesman painted such a rosy picture: the Project Manager would be on site from a half hour to three hours a day. The Project Coordinator would be in charge and fully accessible to solve any concerns. The special instruction(I wanted a range vent and a skylight) would be followed to the letter. All the nails during tear-off would be pulled out not pounded in. Well..the Project Manager never showed up to the project. He was ill. When I voiced a concern to the Project Coordinator, she thought it was her job to argue with me and try to change my mind. I digithink it was a good idea to start on Friday. She insisted. I asked about the promise by the salesman to remove the old nails, not pound them in, and she said she didn't know what the salesman told me, that wasn't their policy. When the roofers got here, they did not know anything about a skylight or vent because no one has told them. The only savior I had in this debacle was the Belmont CA building inspector who held the roofers to code, but he could only make two inspections.
Bottom line, don't believe anything the salesman doesn't put in writing(I'm not sure that would even help), assume the Project Manager will not be there and the Project Coordinators' only job is to fight with you.
Take your business somewhere else. I will.
