Burger King Informative - Customer Service/Management
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA -- To All Reviewers;
I am the Store Manager of Burger King store #3397 in Boynton Beach Florida, on Boynton Beach Blvd. near Congress Ave.
Reading all these complaints sickens me. I recently took over this restaurant (Sept. 27, 2006) and found it to be a true test of my management capabilities.
All fast-food restuarants operate under opposite conditions - 99% of all customers want FAST service, and 99% of all customers want GREAT customer service. Getting these two to sync is the tough part, but it can be done under some conditions. Yes, timers are used and we are tracked and rated on drive-thru service time. My restaurant had a horribly slow drive-thru time average, but in the two weeks since my tenure began, we have significantly lowered our drive thru average time. Customer service has improved, but not enough. Employees used to slow ethics are moving faster now, but at expense of customer service at times. This is where I come in as I train my management staff.
When I go to my local hair-cutting establishment once a month, I hate the "small talk" that the "stylist" thinks she must attempt. But, at cash-out time, what I want is a good-looking cut in a reasonable amount of time. Likewise, to all my customers - please bear with us at this transitional time and look forward to getting your food hot and freash and quickly and I promise we will work on the customer service part until all the pieces come together.
