Deal or No Deal Complaint - Save Your Money! - Deal or No Deal Card Game

Review by D. on 2006-10-10
I had to update this review and make a correction...this should have said "Card" game...not "Board" game...I didn't realize there were to different games out there.

If anyone is planning on buying the Deal or No Deal card game in the silver briefcase, for their your money! First, you have to play four complete rounds for one game...and the kids get bored before the game is over (and so do I). It's nothing like the TV game, there is not strategy as far as the bank offers goes because you just pick cards off the top of the deck and that is what the offer, many times toward the end of the game, the bank offers are less than what's available on the board...This could have been a much better game if they would have put more thought into it, but it looks like they just rushed to get it into production.

Haven't seen the commercial but thanks for the warning.

Heck, I think the real show lacks any real strategy. It's simply an odds game. You pull money off the board, you get an offer that represents the odds, and contestants decisions pretty much go with it. Plus or minus a round or two, anyone watching knows when the player should (and almost always does) take the deal.

I tried to watch that game once. Nearly gave me brain damage.

It was fun to watch the first time. After that I can't stand how they take forever with 100 commercial breaks just to flip a bunch of suitcases open.

What I like is when they call the contestant from the audiance, and the contestant is always so surprised and overwhelmed...yet, the show has pics there of their families, or they fly in a spouse or family member to surprise them...LOL...Always got a laugh out of those ones.
