Earthlink Complaint - BILLING
TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA -- For the past year I have had to deal with deceitful practices by Earthlink. More so with their billing practices and service help. Service help is almost non existant. Live chat help is good for basic needs. Try picking billing as a question for a rep and you will sit their waiting online forever. The minute you say billing question or problem ooops all of a sudden you get disconnected or they are disappear like a ghost. I purposely tried to get my billing question answered and got disconnected. I went back into the chat area signed on with a agent and I asked my billing question and poof they were gone.
Billing is deceitful! I was charged 3 times for internet service of one month! Then 2 days later another charge appeared out of the clear blue sky for another $40.90. In the explanation it said reactivation fee and another month of service. The account was paid on time as it is taken off my credit card every month on the same day. There was an error and I was told a credit was to be made. How about it only takes 7 days to rectify a problem (sometimes less) and here it is going on 2 months! When you try and get answers you get it will appear on your next statement. Bottom line Earthlink is a rip off without a doubt and there are people all over the country saying the same thing. There are so many companies today who totally disregard the people who make them money. Next time you here any elderly person say customer service isn't what it use to be you better believe it because it is true. The consumer ultimately is nothing to these people.
