Complaint - Shipping description unclear

Review by MadAlbanian on 2006-10-14
WEEHAWKEN, NEW JERSEY -- I had ordered some items from and when the selection came up for shipping, I selected 'ground service 7-10 days.' I order online almost exclusively and 'ground service' means UPS to me. Other websites offer shipping by USMail; however it is clearly specified that it is USMail. It is my opinion that 'ground service' means UPS unless otherwise specified. The merchandise was not delivered and returned to them because my actual mailing address is a P.O. Box; but UPS does not deliver to a P.O. Box, so I gave my physical address, believing it was UPS. Now, Domestications refuses to refund the shipping, even though it was their ambiguous shipping language that caused the problem. The caution here folks is that if it says 'ground service' - email them and get a clarification and save yourself some pain in the glutious maximus.

Ground service only means it gets put on a truck...doesnt say whose truck it will be. You made an unqualified assumption... and you know that old saying about what happens when you assume...
