McDonald's Corporation Complaint - They f*** you at the drive thru
OLIVE BRANCH, MISSISSIPPI -- I was alone in the drive thru line. That's the way I like it. Less pressure, greater possibility that things will go smoothly. That's the point where that sentiment evaporated in a puff of smoke.
I ordered a 'Deluxe' big breakfast, extra hashbrown and one bacon, egg & cheese bagel. Rocket science, right? I GOT a styrofoam box with egg, sausage & biscuit inside. No pancakes. No hashbrown. I did get syrup, though. That's a plus (NOT.) The bagel would have been OK if it weren't for being burnt to a crisp (literally black inside, no kidding) and the missing BACON!!!
Is this really a brain taxing task? I know McJobs are often merely stepping stones for people getting started in the job market, but what does it say about their prospects that they can't fill a simple order successfully? Future accountant? Business executive? Not likely.
Let it be known that I realize not all McDonald's employees are guilty here, but it has happened to me and many people I know on numerous occasions, so it is not an uncommon thing by any means. Either they are incompetent, apathetic or under some sort of 'unspoken' company policy to allow this to happen. Doesn't matter much what the cause, it is totally unacceptable. That McDonald's reaps the benefits from these oversights (ever hear of someone getting MORE than they paid for at the drive thru?) and appears uninterested in doing anything to correct it, causes me to state unequivocally that I am finished with them. They will not get another dollar from me or my family. Ever.
