Denny's Restaurant Informative - Employment
It is hard to work in a Denny's. I work in one now, and I have worked for Denny's for almost a decade. I work for a store in which my manager lets the morning staff do whatever - have as many open tickets, steal money, steal food, give food away, talk crap in Spanish, etc..
They will not work with my school schedule and one of the morning servers, who is vindictive, has a key to EVERYTHING and reads the manager's logs and tells everyone that I told her.
I have caught her in the office doing so, yet no one believes me. I am scared to cross her, because my drawer and other monies are unsecured and nothing stops her from stealing the deposit and saying I did it. She just did it to the graveyard server.
I am soon to quit, but if you think of working for a Denny's, come in and talk to employees candidly on all shifts and find out what-is-what.
Usually if the mouthy tattle-tale all stores has has way to much to say, you can bet there's 1/2 truth to it.
I am afraid to go to the District Manager, as I think I will be set-up and fired. I am getting ready to put my two weeks notice in, and I am surfing my resume else where.
It makes me sad, as I loved working for Denny's until now.
