SpeeDee Oil Change Complaint - Brake Job Disaster

Review by LeisaP on 2006-10-24
LA HABRA, CALIFORNIA -- I took my vehcile to SpeeDee located at 1580 W. Imperial Highway in La Habra for a rear brake job. I took the car to work and lost my brakes on a southern California freeway. I was able to pull over. I saw that there was brake fluid all over one of the rear passenger tires. I towed the car back to the shop. They told me that they did not know what happened and charged me an additional amount to fix the brakes. I contacted another mechanic and he advised me that they probably caused this problem because they were not careful when they installed the new brake components which then caused the leak. I filed a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive repair. Do not take your car to this shop for any repairs. I will never take my car there again. Apparently when they installed the new brake parts the first time, they were not careful and dislogded the seal on the cylinder. I did not have any leaks prior to this repair. I missed two days from work over this fiasco and they will still not admit that they did anything wrong.

"they will still not admit that they did anything" of course they wont. You should take them to small claimes court.
