Burger King Complaint - Ethics are bad

OREGON, WISCONSIN -- When i worked there on sept 27th I was bruttally attacked by the manager of oregon burger king, **name removed**. she attacked me because I wasnt going to put up with her de humanizing me in front of other co workers. i clocked off and was trying to leave I said "im not going to do this with you today so just have bill call me in the morning and then she said i was fired anyway and then tried to grab a paper from me and intentionally dug her finger nails into my throat.. yea the cops were called and she is getting battery charges brought up against her...
the sick thing is the GM didnt even bother to call me to see if i was ok! Im very distrought over this and i contacted my attorney and am probably going to file a lawsuite against them...
word of advice, stay away from burger king, their management is violent and there seems to be no reprocussion from it!!!!! melissa hansen

My recommendation Melissa is since you are contacting an attorney and planning to try and milk this into a cash cow, I suggest not going on the net and posting accounts of the incident since they'll surely use against you if they can.

I agree with what slim said. Don't count on getting much out of BK because their employee attacked you though, they will deny insurance coverage because it was a personal act of malice. Just like if you ram someone on purpose with your car, your insurance company won't pay. Now if you have a really good lawyer, he will figure out how to get your money for you though!

Likely, you've got little legal foothold, unless you filed an assault complaint with the police at that time and date.

Sounds like a few self defense classes wouldn't hurt either. I'd keep this little secret to myself if I were you elmo. Anyway good luck with that LAWSUITE!

Sounds like a rough neighborhood. But what does a violent manager in Oregon have to do with all the BK's everywhere else? I also agree with Slim that if you are going to file a suit, save your comments for your lawyer.

You should also have the police or lawyer check their security cameras to see if the attack was caught on tape...before they think about it and dispose or erase it.

We have never had that happen around here. The closest thing we have had to that happening was the night someone took a couple of shots at the drive-through window at the Casa Grande Jack in the Box. DB should join me in trying to get a PI ticket. She is pretty sharp.

im also a burger king employee. theres 4 managers there. Mike & Knii are ok & Don is the best 1 but the worst 1 is Phil. i cant go 1 night without him saying something to be like correcting me. everything needs to be done his own way. it hasnt happen with me & phil yet but i saw a couple other people not take his crap anymore & start mouthin off back to him. i never wanted since hes a manager but these other guys are from philly & they wont let phil walk all over them. of course after the arguments they have, phil will just clock them out & send them home & hes pissed as anything. but theose guys still seem to have their jobs there. & they get along with phil on other days. but phil can never get along with me. im the only white man he works with. every1 else is basically black like him. so i dont no if he rasists or what. but i think next time he feels like being an ass, ima let him have it & not let him walk all over me anymore cuz up til now i just been taking it & suckin it up. but the other guys say to have some repect myself. & i think there right. next time phil gives me a hard time, i'll do it right back to him. then if i get sent home, next day i'll tell my boss Mike the GM that he started all that & stuff just like the other guys do.
