Qwest Complaint - Price Guarantee - NOT
MINNESOTA -- Qwest sold me a Katana phone with a two year service agreement, and before it even arrived, they started giving away the phone for free (with rebate). When I activated my phone - and thus agreed to pay the $100 - the phone was already free. But did they tell me that? Nope! Would they honor the new deal when I discovered it a day later? Nope!
I am used to buying electronics with a price guarantee - if the company offers the equipment for less within 30 days of your purchase, you will get the difference refunded. Not Qwest. They charge you the higher price even if they start giving away the phone even before it arrives at your door!
The customer service person I called was very sympathetic - because she had been cheated by her own company on the very same deal, and she was truly annoyed. This is ironic, because Qwest has started asking me after every customer service contact - am I satisfied - is there anything else they can do for me - just let them know. But when I am truly dissatisfied and there is something they could do - they don't want to know about it.
Believe me, I would have left Qwest Wireless in a flash many times, but they have me locked in with a One Number Service tie to my local land line which is essential for my business and only available from my local phone company (Qwest). I really hate doing business with an unfair monopoly, but unfortunately, I have no choice.
But if you DO have a choice, I recommend you avoid Qwest Wireless.
