ThePartsBin.com Complaint - Sent me the wrong part and would not issue a return authorization

Review by emd123 on 2006-10-28
I ordered dark grey mud-flaps for my Jeep Liberty in August. I asked the PartsBin rep to confirm that I would be receiving dark grey flaps-not black, at least three times. I had been having trouble finding grey to match the molding on my 2002 Liberty. He assured me, without hesitation, which meant he really did not check on the color at all, that I would get dark grey flaps. I knew, when I hung up the phone, that I would almost assuredly get black flaps, because he didn't care enough to confirm that they were in fact grey. I was annoyed when I received the black flaps and called the company to have a return authorization issued. After numerous attemps to have a return issued and contacting the Better Business Bureau (PartsBin did not respond to the BBB's attempt to resolve this issue.) It's October and the black flaps are still sitting in a box in my living room. The PartsBin.com is a disreputable online company. Don't get taken by them like I did!

Well, if you are truly stuck with them you might talk to a local body shop. They should be able to match the trim color on your Jeep and the can spray them the right color. Make sure the put a "flex additive" in the paint so the finish will have a little give to it - it's the same process they use when painting flexible bumper covers.
