Greco's of Willow Springs Complaint - An unbelievable evening
WILLOW SPRINGS, ILLINOIS -- The debauchery (as I call it) was at Greco's in Willow Springs, Illinois on Archer Ave.
I was to attend a show at 8:00 pm. My friend and I first found the location of the concert and then decided to eat at the restaurant next door.
We arrived at the restaurant at 6:30 and sat immediately in the smoking section to avoid a wait. Already we noticed the service was slow.
Finally, the waitress came back and we were able to order our dinner. Since I knew my dish would take a while to cook (30 minutes the menu said) we decided to order an appetizer as well. Mind you, we didn't even wait for the waitress to go through the specials.
Around 7:30,we received a measley 3-shrimp appetizer that was exactly as the waitress described it would not be...But that wasn't a problem. Rather, I took this time to mention to the waitress that we had an 8:00 show to attend, she said she'd put a rush on the order. Well at 7:45 we were getting ansy and we saw people who came in after us leaving the restaurant before we did.
Of course there was no sign of the waitress, so we decided we were going to talk to the Hostess. Before we could even explain our situation, this woman showed her indifference....telling us if we had to go to a show we should have told her (the hostess) earlier. The woman was very hostile, wagging her finger in my face as she called me a condescending missy, letting me know she was the owner and she would call the cops on us if we would not pay the bill completely.
Even when the waitress pulled out the bill showing we placed our order at 7:10 (it took that long) and the meal STILL wasn't on the table at 7:45,(the chicken should have taken only 30 minutes) this woman was making lame excuses, blaming us by saying we shouldn't have ordered an hor d'ouevre....It was the worst case of customer service I've ever experienced in my whole life.
So since we didn't have time to wait for the police, we were forced into paying for the whole meal.....The owner however was nice enough to wrap the food to go. She's lucky I didn't throw it across the room.
