Hilton/Embassy Suites Informative - Net Direct Rates Inflexible & Unreasonable
ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA -- As a loyal Hilton Honors customer, I recently researched Embassy Suites Hotels in Anaheim. I found a wonderful "Net Direct" rate and booked a seven-night stay for November. When I received my confirmation e-mail, I was surprised to see the location listed at a hotel 6 miles away. I immediately called Hilton Customer Service and was informed that I could not cancel because of the special Net Direct rate, which has already been charged to my credit card. I explained that I did not want to cancel, only change the location of my visit to the Embassy Suites closer to Disneyland park. After three phone calls and two e-mails, I still have not been able to get Hilton to change my reservation. I do not understand why they cannot grant my request, especially since they already have my money and considering the thousands of dollars I spend in their hotels each year for business and personal travel. If I do not get satisfaction for this trip, I will be cancelling my Hilton Honors membership and telling everyone I can about this lousy, inflexible deal they call "Net Direct rates."
