VANCOUVER -- I have never had such unprofessional service from any company as I did with DHL's Vancouver office. The manager Ron Cox respnded to my complaint with 10% off the delivery charge. All this after they lost my paperwork for customs to which they admitted to and resulted in my next day air service from the U.S. to take 26 days. This man was rude to me and told me since it was a completed delivery regardless of fault, I still had to pay full rate minus only 10% discount for a 24 day delay!!!!

I have had a horrible experience with Vancouver DHL, Complaints -- whether phrased politely or aggressively -- got me nowhere.

(1) Day one: DHL turns up at 2.00 on a Wednesday afternoon, with crucial job related documents from Japan. I'm not home. DHL will deliver on Thursday. I call their number to confirm. I book the day off work.

(2) Day two: DHL doesn't even bother to turn up. I spend all day (off work) tracking my shipment. They do not even attempt a delivery. How annoyed am I? Very. So I call, again, to arrange for a Monday delivery -- as I must work on the Friday.

(3) Day three: Friday. DHL, despite my request, comes by again at noon. I'm not home. They won't attempt another delivery. Therefore, I am out of luck.

(4) Monday. Business in Japan rings me up, in a pissy mood, enquiring as to why I haven't faxed urgent materials back to them.

Moral of this story? DHL are useless.
