Sears Informative - Terrible Service and Refund Policy
ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN -- I purchased a stove from Sears Ann Arbor MI store on 11-1-06. I asked all the right questions I was switching from a gas stove to electric. I was told that Sears would cap the gas line and install the stove. I told the salesperson that I was having plumber out on 11-2-06. I was again told Sears would install the stove.
We did not get a call when the delivery would come. I was only told 11-3-06. The men came to deliver the stove while I was at work. My husband was home. They said they would not cap the gas line and I needed to call a plumber. In the mean time they would not leave the stove but took it back with them!!! They were very rude.
I went to the Briarwood store to get my refund and was told it will take 14 business days for the refund and they would not even give me confirmation on paper that it would be applied to my MasterCard. I spoke to the store manager along with several calls to the delivery service area. No one would help me. I even called and logged a complaint with Sears who said I can call back in 14 business days if I don't get my money then they would look into it. They only log complaints.
I will never step foot in a Sears store again. They took my $800.00 in seconds but will not return your money in the same fashion. Now I have no stove to use and have to wait 3 weeks for my money back so I can purchase one somewhere else. Never Again!!
