Orbitz Complaint - Orbitz ruined my vacation!
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- I purchased round trip tickets from San Diego to Pereira Colombia from Orbitz. The price was great, $672, the problem is that I never received the tickets and they refuse to be responsible and rectify the situation. They sent (supposedly) the tickets via UPS and the tickets were allegedly delivered to me on 10/25 at 9:15 PM. Well I am home at that time and I never received the tickets! Then Orbitz told me to file a claim with UPS. UPS says that I can't do that. Next Orbitz told me to file a LCA with Continental Airlines. Continental Airlines told me not to do that. They told me that by doing so I would basically be buying the tickets again and paying a $100 surcharge to boot. Right now I'm disputing the charges with my credit card because I'm paying for merchandise that I never received, but since my trip is 11/27, 23 days away, it's ruined. Thanks Orbitz! I hope you go out of business. You certainly deserve to with your poor treatment of your customers. If UPS is so unreliable you should offer customers more options for ticket delivery. I prefer USPS certified. If you want to avoid a disaster such as my lost vacation to Colombia avoid Orbitz like the plague.
