Kelly's Tavern Compliment - Scrumptious food

Review by Shakra on 2006-11-05
NEWPORT NEWS, VIRGINIA -- Last month, I went to Hampton, VA. While I was there, I was taken to a restaurant/bar called Kelly's Tavern at 1010 Loftis Blvd. I ended up eating there three different times in six days.

Their food was so good that I went back there during my recent trip and enjoyed it just as much as the last time.

I recommend this sandwich that has turkey with spinach and artichoke dip spread all over it. However, everything I have tried was a winner. I am very picky about my French Onion Soup and it was fantastic, too.

In case you're wondering why food is served in a place that identifies itself a tavern. In VA, if you cannot have just a tavern. If alcohol is served, it must have a restaurant, also.

The wait staff was excellent, too.

I hope you get a chance to enjoy this place.
