SUBWAY Complaint - Workers attitude at SUBWAY - fast food restaurant

fast food restaurant - Complaint
Review by levant on 2006-11-06
SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA -- I find when ordering a Subway sandwich, the workers are snobby, they rush with your order like they want to get done as soon as possible. Never say "hello, thank you, have a nice day" to the customers. When I finished a 12" sandwich, I still was hungry. They scrimp on the meat; if the caloric value is lower than the usual fast-food restaurant, then why not put more on the sandwich.

How about trying a different Subway location?? Or is that the only one available in your area?

It is so hit or miss with any of these fast food places. Try another location until you find a good one, then stick with that one. I find myself often going a few miles out of my way to hit a location that I know has nice employees that take their time to make good sandwiches.

I've never been fond of Subway in general. I too feel they make skimpy sandwiches and I'm getting a loaf of bread for lunch. I just look for a real deli and order from them. It really doesn't take any longer and it's usually no more expensive.

Yeah, back in the day.

I just saw a commercial for Quizno's. They look like they don't skimp on the sandwiches. Maybe you could try them. Of course the commercials always do show a better version of then what you would probably get.

Slim, I'm with you in my personal opinion of Subway. If I wanted a loaf of bread for lunch I'd go to the grocery.

Levant, there's a Burger King not far from my office where the lady manager runs a tight ship. Those employees march to the beat of a different drummer. You are thanked for your purchase, asked if you need anything else so forth and so on. Only once did I have a problem with one in the drive thru. I said nothing, but noticed that employee disappeared from the face of the earth shortly thereafter. It all comes down to management and employees.

You obviously enjoy Subway and as others have suggested, try another location. The scrimping on meat will be at all Subways as they are famous on lots of bread and little fillings, but at least the employees might more pleasant.

Quizno's is better, Skye. I'll go to that, but never to Subway.

The people making the sub at subway are not allowed to put on as much meat and veg as they want, Company standards list all ingrediants and amounts. Extra meat is available for a small charge.

That is because you weigh 700 pounds.

You know I've gone to SubWay now and then. Most of my visits were very satisfying. One day I see this big ole burly dude looked like a night club bouncer working behind the counter. Talk about fast and displeasing. The bread was torn up which he pushed together. He slopped all the fixens in not really paying attention. The mayo and mustard and whatever else ejaculated all over the place made the whole sandwich fall apart; discusting. However I will not not dissagree about this one episode and say stay from SubWay. It really depends on who's working there at the time.

Kid7,I'm grossed out and laughing so hard at your discription. YUCK.
I also say Quiznos' is the best. One word of warning, it is more costly then subway but you get what you pay for. I can get a full size sandwich and have it for two meals. The only sandwich place I will eat at from now on. And they have a great soup too.

The last time I went to Subway the lady that waited on us was squeezing mayo onto a sandwich when she dropped some on the counter then scooped it up with her finger and wiped it on the bread. YUCK. And she looked completely shocked when I told her to just forget the order.

Subway is a joke. I would really like more then 3 slices of meat on my sandwich. If I do go there, I only order the sweet onion chicken sandwhich, you actually get what you paid for. I'd rather have Togos, Cousins and Blimpies over Subway.
