Nextel Informative - Customer service is TERRIBLE
WELLINGTON, ILLINOIS -- My husband has had nextel for several years. 2 & 1/2 years ago I went to Nextel also. The plans were a little expensive but they worked for us. However, customer service has been terrible the whole time but we dealt with it. When my 2 years was about up I called Nextel and specifically asked about my contract. I was told I didn't have to renew it would automatically expire. I then mentioned that I was looking at other companies & did not want to enter into another contract. So I've been having trouble and noticed that I was getting overage charges & I even called several times when the automated service was claiming I had shared minutes. After a huge overage bill I got online and found out I did have shared minutes & shouldn't have paid overages. After two hang ups with customer service I find out that I have shared minutes but I really don't and by the way my contract was renewed for one more year because I didn't send in a peice of paper that said i didn't want to renew (BY THE WAY NEVER SAW THE PAPER AND SPECIFICALLY SAID OVER THE PHONE SEVERAL TIMES NO RENEWAL NO RENEWAL) So after the hour on the phone I didn't get any overage charges back & I am stuck with Nextel for at least 6 more months (according to Nextel) Customer Service is a joke and so is the cellular service think twice before going to nextel or sprint since they are together now.
