Wrong Prices on EVERYTHING I bought - Complaint
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- I purchased wine, pretzels and potato chips for a party I was going to. The prices listed on the shelf were completely different from the prices charged. The wine was shelf priced at 2.49 - it rang up as 1.99! The pretzels were shelf priced at 1.49 and they rang up at 1.69. The potato chips were shelf priced at 1.79 and rang up at 1.59.
While it all came out even in the end, I was shocked that NOT ONE THING I PURCHASED WAS PRICED PROPERLY. More importantly, when I mentioned this to the employees - they could care less. I did notice that there was a "price-checker" machine, but it didn't work.

Must be a problem at that particular location. I frequent CVS stores all over the Dallas area and have never had this happen.

Now Pirate, he admits he was willing to go as much as $2.49 on his bottle of vino - he just got lucky and only had to pay $1.99. :-)

That has to be isolated to that location like heaven said. No way could a chain like them have this be habitual. Hey, you did make 50 cents though.

CVS's sales usually run Sunday through Saturday. What day did you shop? Possibly, the prices were not changed to reflect the sales. This must have been one hell of a party though; chips, pretzels and MadDog 20/20...

I find it surprising that you're complaining about changes in price that are in your favor (with the exception of the one, but still...in the end...it's in your favor). My bet is that they may have been on sale....and don't complain about saving money. It makes me question the sanity of people.
